Effective with the first pay period in January 2020, eligible employees will receive a 2.0% cost-of-living increase. Please see the attached Cost-of-Living Increase Guidelines and Instructions for important information including eligibility criteria, funding sources, process, timeline and other relevant details regarding the increase.
- Non-exempt (biweekly) employees will receive the increase effective December 20th which will reflect on the January 10th
- Exempt (monthly) employees will receive the raise effective January 1st which will reflect on the January 30th
What if I am at or near the max of my grade? Those at or near the max will receive the 2% increase up to the max, and then a one time lump sum for the remainder. HR and payroll are initiating these payments; no action is necessary from the department.
- Biweekly employees will receive the lump sum on their January 24th paycheck.
- Monthly employees will receive the lump sum on their January 30th paycheck.
Why is the effective date 12/20/19 for non-exempt? The effective date is 12/20 for non-exempt because the increase is effective the pay period that includes January 1.
